Trip Historic takes your privacy very seriously and we want you to feel comfortable knowing what information we collect and how it is and is not used.
By using the Website, you permit the collection and use of your personal information as outlined below. If we offer any application (“App”) to access our services we may also collect personal data in a similar manner to our Website, but the App may also allow you to use any available location services.

Trip Historic does not operate a mandatory registration service and does not require you to enter any personal information in order to view the Website.
What is Personal Information (or Personal Data)?
Personal Information (also known under European data protection laws as personal data) means any information that could identify you as a distinct individual such as your name, home address or email address. Personal Information may also include other things such as your medical history, employment details, financial history or even your education or training. As such, we do not require you to enter any Personal Information into the Website unless you voluntarily decide to do so, such as entering your name when submitting a user comment, when setting up a user account with us or when making a request to book via our Website. We explain below how we may collect your Personal Information by other means.
Do I have to provide Personal information to participate in a Competition?
If you are entering a Competition you will need to provide Personal Information to us. The Personal information that you will need to provide is your name, email address and town and city where you live. You will also need to confirm that you are aged 18 (eighteen) years or over and are not related to any employees of the promoters, their families or anyone associated with the Competition that you are entering into. If you are selected as a winner you will then need to provide Trip Historic with some additional personal data such as your bank account details. In any publicity events you should be aware that your photograph may be taken and additional personal data collected as part of any interviews that you give.
Principles that Govern how your Personal information is Used
Trip Historic will apply the following principles when using your personal information:
Lawfulness, fairness and transparency. Personal information will be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to you.
Purpose limitation. Personal information will be collected only for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes. It will not be further processed in any manner incompatible with those purposes.

Collection and Use of Technical Information
Each time you visit, even if you do not use a service or make a reservation on the Website (either directly or through any App) we may automatically collect certain information that relates to you but does not directly identify you. This includes your internet protocol (IP) address, your login data such as the date and time you accessed our services, the hardware, software or internet browser you use and information about your computer’s operating system such as application versions and your language settings. We may also collect information about clicks and which pages have been shown to you. If you are using a mobile device we may also collect information that identifies your mobile device, device settings and characteristics, location details and other similar system activity. While this information does not directly identify you, it is regarded as information that may indirectly identify you as if combined with other information it may then be possible to ascertain your identity.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
Generally we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data other than in relation to sending third party direct marketing communications to you via email or text message. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us at email@example.com.
We do not generally collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this term refers to the various categories of personal data identified by the European and other data privacy laws as requiring special treatment. Examples, includes details about your race or ethnicity, personal identity numbers, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
How We Use Your Personal Information
Trip Historic uses the information that you provide or that we collect to manage our business and to operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the features and services found on our Website (or App) as well as to track user-generated content and assist tour operators to fulfil reservations.
Browser-type related information, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, timestamp data and other automatically collected information may be used to help us diagnose problems with our server, administer the Website (and any App), and otherwise provide services to you such as providing user account facilities. In addition, we use this non personal information to perform statistical analyses of user behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas and features of the Website (or App) and to inform advertisers (if any) of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to, or clicked on, their advertising banners (if any).
We may also use this data to offer customer support services, online groups or chat forums as well as to communicate with you by email, by phone or by text. We may need to provide you with security alerts or advise you on any information relating to any reservation you have made. Depending on the information you decide to provide us we may also offer marketing services to send you information about travel related products or other promotions but we will only do this when you have specifically consented to receive such information.
With regard to information collected when you enter into one of our Competitions, we will use the information collected to register you as an applicant of that Competition. Your Personal Information will be used for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the Competition and for the purposes set out in the Competition Rules. Note that your name will be credited against all uses by us of your submission. If you are a winner your Personal Information will be used to announce you as a winner of this Competition. Your Personal Information may also be used for other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
Sharing and Transfer of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade in your personal information. We do share information with others – for example where a booking request occurs we will supply your information to the relevant partner (i.e. tour operator) to use your information to facilitate any booking or reservation you decide to make through the use of our Website (or App) and to provide any confirmation of any booking or reservation. As another example, if you have entered into one of our Competitions we will disclose your information to our partners and service providers as part of administering the Competition for example your name may be provided to the judging panel or to the publicity teams, event organisers and media when the results are being announced. Please also be aware, that any personal information that you voluntarily choose to display on any publicly available portion of the Website (or App) becomes publicly available and may be collected and used by others without restriction.
We reserve the right to transfer your personal information in the event of a transfer of ownership of Trip Historic or the Website, such as through an acquisition by, or merger with, another entity.
Please be aware we may transfer your personal information internationally to partners engaged in assisting us to provide the requested services to you (or who are involved in Competitions with us). On leaving our Website you will need to review the privacy policies of such third parties which will explain the use they make of your personal information.
Trip Historic will notify you when information about you may be provided to third parties in ways other than explained above, and you will have the option to prevent such information sharing.

Controlling Your Personal Information
Right of Rectification or Erasure – some specific details
You have a general right to request that we rectify any inaccurate personal information or you may edit such information in your user account. If you believe we hold incomplete information about you, please let us know. We may then collect additional information to complete any missing Personal Information. You may also request that we erase any Personal Information that we hold or restrict our use. We will comply with any such request where it is reasonable or lawful to do so and will do so in a reasonable time. If you request it we will also inform you if we have provided your Personal Information to anyone else.
No Fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time Limit to Respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
You hereby acknowledge that Trip Historic is not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the Internet, and to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you agree that Trip Historic is not liable for any damages or claims arising out of or related to the unauthorised use of your information by third parties.
If we discover any breach of our security that may present a high risk to you to your Personal Information we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay. We may not notify you of any such breach if our physical, managerial and other technical safeguards defeat the purpose of any such breach and we render any Personal Information unintelligible.
The Website and Trip Historic services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly solicit information from any child under the age of 18. In the event that we become aware that personally-identifiable information of persons under the age of 18 has been submitted to, or has been exchanged through, the Website (or any App), we will use commercially reasonable efforts to disable such usage and delete such information.
