About this Tour
We warmly encourage you to join us on a trip to the Ojcowski National Park, which is in the southern part of the Krakow-Czestochowa upland. It is one of the smallest and the most charming national parks in Poland. There are plenty of gorgeous valleys and forests there as well as many historical sights and natural caves. Due to this multitude, the local scenery became a topic of many reports and reminiscences as well as an inspiration for numerous artists and poets.
During this tour, you will witness the beauty of the Pradnik Valley as well as of Polish architecture such as the On the Water chapel. We will take you to the ruins of a castle, which was once part of the renowned system called Orle Gniazda ( eng. Eagle Nests). These were grand medieval fortresses, which once protected the boarder of the Kingdom of Poland. You will also venture into an amazing cave connected to the P olish king Wladyslaw Lokietek , a place that is visited each year by almost 100.000 tourists. The next point of interest on our trip is the castle in Pieskowa Skala, first mentioned as Peskenstein in a document published in 1315 by Wladyslaw Lokietek. Originally it was a gorgeous gothic building, which was later transformed into a renaissance residence.
During the tour, we have also planned your lunch time, so that you can taste traditional Polish cuisine.
