The National Museum houses as much as 14,000 pieces of items dating back to pre-Khmer empire, the Khmer Empire’s glorious times and items of cultural and historical significance even after the Khmer period.
The museum’s architecture is an attraction in itself, featuring Cambodian craftsmanship, constructed between 1917 and 1924. It is located next to the Royal Palace, the Veal Preah Man Square and the Poyal University of Fine Arts, along Street 13 in Phnom Penh.
