Visit: Loire Valley Tours
Meet your driver in the morning at a centrally located place in the city of Tours, France. Board your comfortable air-conditioning 8-seats minivan that will take you to your first destination.
You will start your day with a visit of the Castle of Azay Le Rideau. Gilles Berthelot’s Château, delicately placed on an island on the Indre river, is, with its open staircase, still considered one of the most elegant examples of Renaissance architecture.
Then, enjoy a tour, wine tasting (Bourgueil or Chinon wines) and lunch at a family estate or at a traditional restaurant with fresh local products. A true authentic moment.
After lunch, your guide will take you to the Chateau du Rivau for a visit of the gardens.
Your final stop is at the spectacular gardens of Touraine, Villandry. The castle of Villandry, finished in 1536, is the last of the large castles to have been built on the banks of the Loire during the Renaissance. It offers one of the most spectacular gardens of the Loire Valley. With its Renaissance, vegetable, water and herb gardens, it is definitely a must see. Long avenues of linden trees which structure the four levels of the garden, delicate silhouettes of yew trees in the topiary style, vegetables and flowers, scents and savors, calmness and energy, tranquillity and effervescence…
Around 6:30pm, your guide will drive you back to the city of Tours, France.
